E-invoicing (ZUGFeRD / XRechnung)
All invoices from Barcodeetiketten.com – including cancellation invoices and credit notes – are e-invoices. You will continue to receive your invoice as the familiar PDF file; in addition, the invoice data is embedded in it in machine-readable form.
In short: E-invoice according to ZUGFeRD, profile EN 16931, as PDF/A-3 (ISO 19005-3) with embedded data; for German public-sector customers XRechnung 3.0 with Leitweg-ID.
What you receive
- One PDF file as before: same appearance, opens in any PDF reader, can be printed and archived.
- Embedded invoice data: the PDF contains an XML file according to the European standard EN 16931 (ZUGFeRD profile EN 16931). Accounting and ERP software that supports ZUGFeRD imports the invoice number, amounts, tax rates and bank details directly – no retyping.
- Archive format PDF/A-3 (ISO 19005-3): the PDF format for long-term archiving with embedded files.
You will receive the invoice by e-mail as usual.
German public-sector customers: XRechnung with Leitweg-ID
Authorities, municipalities and other public-sector customers in Germany often require an XRechnung with a Leitweg-ID (the routing ID of German public administrations). If a Leitweg-ID is stored in your customer account, we issue your invoice as XRechnung 3.0: it is embedded in the PDF and additionally attached to the invoice e-mail as a separate XML file, e.g. for uploading to your e-invoice portal.
How to store your Leitweg-ID
- Log in and open My account › Your profile.
- The field “Leitweg-ID” is shown for business customers (account type “Commercial”).
- Enter your Leitweg-ID and save.
- Order as usual – the Leitweg-ID is applied to every order.
New customers can also enter the Leitweg-ID directly when registering as a business customer.
Important: the invoice is created when the order is placed. Please store the Leitweg-ID before ordering. If you have already ordered without a Leitweg-ID, please contact us.
You receive your Leitweg-ID from your invoicing office or contracting authority. It consists of digits (and possibly letters), is structured by hyphens and ends with a two-digit check digit. The shop checks the check digit when you enter it.
Private customers
Nothing changes for you. You will receive your invoice as a PDF as before. The embedded data is invisible and does not affect opening or printing.
